Wider strap / strap adapter
-
Has anybody managed to find wider compatible nylon watch strap? At least 26mm or even more? Or some kind of connector/adapter?

Just for the record. There are 3D blueprints out there which would solve my situation if I had a 3D printer.
I have also tested this strap from Aliexpress.
Idea of this strap is very good. It has 22m connector loop with quickrelease pins but the strap itself is 30mm. This makes watches very stable. It even overlaps under lugs and covering sharp edges. However manufacturing quality is not that good. Sewings are irritating and the strap material is a kind of backpack style strap which is not stretchy at all. If this would be made of stretchy nylon material it would be ultimate strap.

@Emil-Červeňan I purchased a Garmin 22mm Velcro strap and pins from Amazon, the strap works well and gives me better OHR readings than the silicone straps. However, the strap is only 22mm.

@Brad_Olwin Yes, I have 22mm nylon band witch works better than original silicone one but 22mm is not enough to prevent sliding with reasonable tightening. 22mm is fine for 50g watches. 80g+ should have wider strap. At least with my wrist but as garmin is using 26mm I guess it’s just some kind of compromise made by Suunto unfortunately.

I use a 24 mm silicon strap on my Vertical. No problem to mount it with the original spring bars. And a much better hold on the wrist with exact ohr values.

@Brad_Olwin can you share which velcro strap you purchased from Amazon? There are many 22mm options and many look like they could be uncomfortable. I’d like to try a velcro strap on my new Race.

@Bud_T I Bought a Garmin Velcro (The Enduro/fenix strap) and 2 22mm pins (don’t remember where)

@Brad_Olwin I bought a random velcro strap from Amazon and while it isn’t too bad, I just ordered a wider one like the one that was pictured in this thread. The rubbing of the sharp anchor point edge on my wrist bone is really annoying and I hope the wider band will cover that edge of the watch. No matter how tightly I cinch down the watch it eventually ends up impinging on my wrist bone protrusion and is quite uncomfortable.

@Bud_T Hello. I have bought these https://a.aliexpress.com/_EzWvslV Very good for their price.

@efbill That is like the one I just got from Amazon, and it’s good for the price. But it does not keep the watch anchor point from rubbing on my wristbone protrusion. So I’m hoping to try a wider strap that covers that bit of the watch.
