      User manual says that sleep is detected using accelerometer, but is it also using heartrate ?

      This morning, I just removed the watch at 8h15, put it on my desk without looking at sleep tracking results.

      At 9h, I looked what it said, the watch said I have been sleeping until 8h55 !!!

      If I have to tell the watch when I stop sleeping, it is just useless !

        @luke55 you need to keep the watch on your wrist or move around for 5 min before taking the watch off after sleeping. I think you expect too much.

          @luke55 to be honest the watch is being advertised as a sports watch, not a sleep watch 😉

            @twekkel
            Not sure what is a sleep watch, but for sure the sleep tracking of the Race is quite basic.
            I asked my wife to compare her Garmin Venu 2 with the Race.
            She weared the 2 watches for several nights, and the Garmin was consistently the most accurate.
            I think Suunto wanted to put the watch on the market before Chritmas, and they have been focusing on sport features, and gave few attention to the other features.
            Hopefully this will be fixed in future software releases.

              @luke55 The sleep tracking least for me has improved substantially since its introduction and there will be ongoing improvements. The sleep tracking shows sleep phases, which I tend to have difficulty believing anyway as those are difficult to detect without professional equipment so I think not so basic. As you can see on the forums sleep tracking works very well for some, less for others.
              As I stated before you should wait until the watch notifies you of your sleep results, this is to prevent it from thinking you did not go back to sleep when you got out of bed in the middle of the night. You could turn off DND or do some other action before taking the watch off and the sleep notification will trigger.
