Suunto 9 peak with polar verity sense
-
Using a polar verity sense paired with my Suunto 9 peak for better hr accuracy…if I change a field on my trail running screen to display heart rate, I know it will display the real time heart rate data coming from the Polar strap (even if I have the wrist based optical hr toggled off).
But if I have the wrist based optical hr toggled off on the watch, the hr zone gauge (colored ring) on the watch remains dormant. If I toggle the wrist based optical hr on, it gives me readings on the colored hr zone gauge ring, but I think those readings are then coming from the watch’s optical sensors and not the polar verity.
How can I get the hr gauge colored ring to reflect the polar verity’s current hr data?
Also, when I then go to upload the run to the Suunto app is it pulling the hr data/ calorie data from my watch, or from the verity strap?

@mtnsportsnutrition you can only mesure hr through one device a the time (belt or ohr), and you can’t change during an exercice.
Be sure to wear your strap belt defore launching exercice. Then the green heart showing HR sensor will have « little wings » (representing belt) if your belt is detected (it should be, it is prior to ohr). If ohr you have a simple heart.
You don’t need to unpin ohr in exercice settings (if you don’t wear your belt, Ohr will then work for mesurement)So if you’ve recorded your exercice with your belt (I guess you’ve paired it properly with you watch), the HR data’s will be from you belt.
You’ll that explanation in the utilisation guide.
