Hi, we have around -17degrees in the Beskydy Mountains and every trail run my crown freezes, it doesn’t respond to pressing or rotation. It helps to warm up by breathing and because of this I don’t pause the activity, preferring to turn it off when I’m warm at home 😄 . Is this normal? Are the Race made for such a freezing temperatures? I’m thinking of changing to Vertical. thanks and enjoy the winter! 🙂

@martintrail I had my Race out for SkiMo yesterday -12°C with no issues of the crown freezing, we had light snow and the watch was outside my jacket. It is, however, dry where I live.

@Brad_Olwin ok, thanks for the answer. I probably should have bought Vertical 😞

I’ve had a frozen crown on my Race recently, too. but it was attached to my backpack strap and we’ve had wet snowfall that froze quickly.
goggles had an ice shield within minutes, too.
when I wear in on my wrist, tucked slightly under the glove’s sleeve it doing fine.
depending on your winter running setup you might want to put a buff over it. it doesn’t require much to keep the watch warm ✊
