Exporting all data takes a very long time
-
We can ask @pavel-samokha if the service is down or that was just a mistake from someone at the helpdesk.
-
@isazi not much I can do related to that, but I’ll ask about MC data export after Christmas
@sebchastang don’t be so upset, I’m almost sure that there will be at least one more SL release with updated public apps list
-
@pavel-samokha Hi Pavel,
Sorry to express my disappointment. It is not only about Suunto apps, but all the impact of the transition on my use.
Cannot retrieve my data from movescount, cannot sync my watch (routes, sport modes) wirelessly since movescount app is down (need to buy a laptop when I travel to be able to sync), cannot use Movescount web platform to analyze (for instance, cannot find in SA how to select a part of the activity to compute average speed, distance… on the selection), losing ability to log and visualize Suunto apps data, and more globally the comfort of using movescount web on a big screen.I know you and some other people try to help us and send feedback to Suunto for some points, and I thank you again . But you cannot do much more about Suunto decision and I didn’t expect to lose all that stuff when I bought the watch.

@sebchastang
Suunto sucks, at first it stopped the ANT+ protocol and now it’s gotten worse; if you don’t have a smartphone you have no business using Suunto. it’s time to get rid of this shit. You are taking risk to lose all of your data. -
@w-liu
Every point of view is welcome, if polite and respectful. This one is not, so please change the way you reply.This is a community forum, almost everyone here is not a Suunto employee or can decide the company policy.
You can ask support to have your data exported, as far as I remember. You won’t lose anything
-
@w-liu For your information Suunto never had Ant+, in fact Suunto was the first to use Ant I believe but never implemented Ant+. Suunto switched to Bluetooth a long time ago with the Ambit 3. I have a Suunto Ant GPS device and an Ant Footpod as well as an Ant HR belt. None are Ant+.
In addition to requesting you are polite, perhaps you should check your facts too.
-
@brad_olwin ,
except those 4 Ant+ certified Suunto devices - https://www.thisisant.com/directory/filter/2106As facts were mentioned, it is true that both Ambit and Ambit2 were locked to Suunto-branded ANT pods when released, but eventually both got FW updates to end this nonsense. As anyone owning an A1/A2 with Polar HRM or any other Ant+ sensor falling into supported sensor type categories can confirm.
Coming back to the topic, few days ago MC export - https://www.movescount.com/settings#export (direct link seems to crash, copy-paste works fine … ) - worked almost instantly, meaning that I received my download link just few hours after requesting. Though not sure if that knowledge would help someone whose request has been pending for weeks and export link is already/still disabled.
-
@margusl Hi margusl,
Thanks for the information. Export link is enabled again
Now let’s wait few hours/days to see if an email with the link is sent to me. -
The export link is indeed enabled again. I hope I will receive an email soon!
-
Just a quick update, I have received an email with a download link yesterday! Hope it works out for the rest of you as well.
-
@proos You are lucky!
Even after this second attempt, I didn’t get any email -
@sebchastang , I received my last MC download link today just few minutes ago, 22:50 EET (UTC +2)
-
@margusl The MC download link finally reached my mailbox today
