peak 9 not able to pair anymore - tried most everything
-
My Peak 9 stopped pairing today. I tried all the steps in the troubleshooting, removed pair from watch, remove pair from phone, restarted both, In using just bluetooth, i was able to get it to pair
and give a code, but the suunto app wasn’t happy with that. Now I get a constant “pairing failed for some reason”, restarting just brings me back here. i’ve removed the cache on the app (pixel 4a 5g running android 12)I’ve even done a reset on my watch, so its in the setup mode.
no luck, same problem.One big question I have, is where is my data stored in case I delete the app from my phone. Is the data only stored on my watch? I don’t sync with strava or any other service? Can I view the data on a SUUNTO website?
I don’t have the movescount app on my phone.
Thanks for any help.

@steve-miley
a little more info - when it does pair, it says “found a device”
“Suunto 9 peak”212010001592
with a pair button, which yields same error. -
@steve-miley if data is in the app, you can uninstall and reinstall it.

I had also difficulties. The solution for me was the pairing not from the Bluetooth “app” of the mobile phone but from the Suunto app (Bluetooth off until I opened the Suunto app) itself. After unpairing before on the mobile phone and the Peak as well.

Well, it should also be in the documentation, but you should NEVER use the phone pairing, just let SA do its thing. It is not going to work otherwise.

@isazi
Thanks all - uninstalling the app / re installing and logging in brought the data back and enabled me to sync again. Others: hanks for the tip of just having the APP pair and not the phone.Steve M.
