Amazed bymy new S9P , some issues with delayed start

sometimes i can be fast, but not everytime
-
I realized that the activity counter is indeed counting despite the fact that the screen is “unresponsive”
so the issue is more on the UX side and not an actual one
-
@stas-varazhbit The timer is not affected. So when you press Start, the watch starts counting right away but just doesn’t show you.
-
Looooong time ago, when Spartans gets FW updates, this situation was the opposite : screen was updated quite fast, but time duration didn’t start at button press = miss a couple of seconds.
If perfection doesn’t exist, I would prefer not to miss some seconds, rather than screen updating instantly -
@surfboomerang But the start on the gps starts 5-6 seconds after pressing the button.
-
@mff73 I think it is related to where was the GPS fix and not related to the actual start of the activity
-
So what’s the conclusion? It’s normal?
-
@zhang965 i think the issue is that “searching for GPS” causes the delay.
When i open the suunto App and then start the activity things are much faster
-
I also have a slow start. It was like this a long time ago on the S9 but it got fixed in a FW update and now it surfaced in the new FW update on the S9P.
-
The slow start is due to loading the activity screens. There was always this issue especially when switching activity types.
The timer should though count correct.
Regarding the GPS logging typically around second 1-10 it logs the first sample and that depends on the quality and speed.
I hope it helps.
