Hi is my Ambit 3 now useless for pre planned route navigation - as I just tried to upload my routes from the suunto app to the watch and it didn’t work - I have just done a few hours googling
Now you can sync routes to your Ambit 3 from Movescount using SuuntoLink app on the desktop
When Movescount sunset there will be new version of SuuntoLink to sync routes from SuuntoApp.

To resolve this issue - but all my googling reviled was that this is no longer supported and my watch is now useless as a navigation tool?
Good news: you are wrong.
You could always load routes to your Ambit3. And you will be able to do so in future as well. This is how to use your model at the moment: https://www.suunto.com/Support/faq-articles/transition/how-do-i-use-the-suunto-services-with-ambit3/
please read, try to understand, and if you have questions, check back here.In future Movescount will be fully shutdown. From that time on, you will be able to plan your routes in the Suunto App. Still SuuntoLink will be the tool to sync routes to the watch. Plus it will be used for setting up the watch. The coming SuuntoLink is an awesome tool for Ambit users!

Hi all thanks for your messages - just to confirm that movescount is no longer active (UK) - it will not let me login or update password therefore no access to movescount. I have synced the Ambit 3 using suuntolink and it doesn’t update the planned routes from the suunto app to my watch (it only syncs the exercises) - therefore I cannot use the navigation route function of the watch. Before I contact suunto am I missing anything I haven’t tried to get this to work?
-
@kmoll this is strange. I have just logged into https://www.movescount.com/ both in English and German and can use the site just as normal.
Can you share screenshots where exactly it does not work for you? -
@kmoll “forgot password?” function doesn’t work for you? Please check if you’re not confused your email.

Hi thanks for your help I have now managed to log into movescount by resetting password (when I did it last night it must have timed the new password out) As movescount was supposed to be shutting down - I have created all my routes in FatMap - so hopefully I can transfer them across to movescount. I think it is now time to get a newer suunto watch - is the loyalty programme still active I have read somewhere that it’s is 30% to 50% of a new suunto watch for existing owners - think I will take a good look at the suunto 9 peak.

No need to do so. You can already link Fatmap to SuuntoApp and it will sync your routes in one and some activities (the ones Fatmal is supporting) in the other direction.
Then when Movenscount will be replaced by the combination of Suunto App and Suuntolink you can have your Fatmap routes in your Ambit.
And of course you can sync from Fatmap to S9 without the Suuntolink step. -
@egika I need my routes from fatmap on my Ambit 3 watch by mid December - so I think the only way for now is to export the routes from fatmap import to movescount and the sync using suuntolink? I think this should work
-
@kmoll November 30 is the date for you to wait for, when Suuntolink will be updated in the way I mentioned above:

@egika Thanks

Thanks for everybody’s help with this I have now got it working as you have all described -Fatmap to gpx - gpx to movescount - suuntolink to watch I would still like a discount of a new S9peak might have to put it on my Christmas list
