My S9P OHR looks like it needs around 10 minutes to warm up, it starts with high reads and then settles into a more realistic HR reading.

It’s happening more often as of lately, it was happening with previous software version and new one didn’t change.

Is someone experiencing same issues? I use it tight but not too much when exercising, I have 24x7 HR so not sure what’s going on.

Attaching the graph from four days it has happened most recently. (date is in blue)

      Thanks

@herlas it does not happen to me, actually the first 10-20 seconds of OHR are always lower than real for me and then it catches up and stays consistent with a chest strap. Last time I had issues with the OHR on the 9 Peak was before release.

I had the same during 1 month testing. I loved wearing S9P vs my SSU, but some little things like this makes me return the watch and wait… some more time 😉.

@herlas I occasionally see this but not often. If the temperature outside is much colder, this could be reducing blood flow near the skin, which the sensor needs to detect. You may find moving the watch position a little could help and adjust how tight the watch is. If it is too tight you will restrict blood flow underneath the sensor as well.

thanks for the answers, it’s not related to the temperature when I start, most of these issues have happened during the evening which is warmer, morning runs have been fine mostly.

I see I’m not alone with this behavior, so might not be a hardware issue.
