Over the last week in a couple of instances I had notifications that did not disappear from my S9P, even after I dismissed them from my android phone. Hence, in both instances I forced synchronization with the app, I turned on and off Bluetooth on my phone, waited some times, but nothing helped.

Ultimately, the only things that worked was to turn off and then turn on the watch. However, in both instances I noticed that few hours of data went lost even though I synced my watch with the phone before re-booting.

For instance, today I re-booted my watch at 6 PM and before doing so I synced the watch with my phone. However, all data recorded from 4 PM to 6PM disappeared (I have a gap in HR data, steps, calories etc ). It looks as if, after the notification that did not disappear was received, the watch was not actually syncing with my phone even though Suunto app said “synced just now”.

I am wondering if anyone has any ideas of why this happens OR has a solution (which does not involve rebooting the watch) for the persistent notifications that are not disappearing from the watch

      Thanks in advance

@giacomo-laffranchini I think its kinda okish. If you reboot the watch it doesn’t keep last 2-4h data if not synced already. Not the best solution but just saying.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Thanks much you for your response!
Indeed, that is exactly what I cannot understand - Why I cannot find the last 2-4 hours of data in the app even though I synced the watch with the phone right before re-booting.
I am OK with not having them in the watch, but why do those 2 hrs disappear from the app if they were previously there?

This is something that should improve soon, or at least is being worked on.

@giacomo-laffranchini they should not disappear if you have synced before the reboot

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos That is what I also found unusual; I assumed that when the watch syncs with the app the data are also concurrently saved in the clouds (i.e., in the suunto platform).
Anyway, I red that an update for the android mobile app is coming soon; when that happens I will try again and see if the issue with data being erased from the app after rebooting repeats itself.
                Thanks.

@giacomo-laffranchini yes they do get stored in the cloud. Strange … They should be there
