Export all data from SA app
-
@martin you can ask support via the app (profile -> support -> search -> contact us) that you want to export your data, provide your account name and email. Then you’ll receive all your data incl. steps, energy and sleep data
-
@pavel-samokha but it’s only useful to reimort in SA, right? So, something like Garmin connect wouldn’t be able to make use of this data. Or is there some standardisation?
-
@dmytro you get the FIT files so yeah those can be bulk imported to others
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos
And sleep data mentioned by @pavel-samokha ? In fit files? -
@mff73 afaik no
-
It will be just raw data in CSV.
AFAIK there is no de-facto standard for health data format and CSV is easy to parse if you want to do something with the data. -
@pavel-samokha Thanks for the tip !
I might have to use it soon…
My Spartan Trainer is currently falling to pieces (plastic casing broke around the metal bolts for the screws that hold the strap), and it’s currently holding on largely thanks to some super glue magic, but that won’t hold long (already had to put some more glue)… I would have loved to stay on Suunto’s side, but the truth is the current offering does not fully convince me and I might go see wether the grass is greener in other pastures… -
@martin good luck with the greener grass
Just to let you know: Suunto support is very generous in replacing Spartan Trainers if the strap broke off. It seems to be a production error of a certain batch. -
Well, that’s not the answer I was hoping for !
-
@egika I wouldn’t say so. My girlfriend’s trainer broke and suunto offered a trade-in S5 for 200 Euro. I must mention that around the time it happened - a few months ago, S5 could be found for around 250 Euros.
Not much of a price shaving if you ask me:) -

Not much of a price shaving if you ask me:)true - but strange as I had a different experience with this same case…
-
@egika Contacted support by phone and they told me the problem is known and they would propably exchange it for a suunto 5. The only thing I have to check now is whether they will accept the watch as I had already glued the strap to make it last a little more… as I would never have believed they would take a 4 year old watch under warranty…
-
And the story ends when they tell me they can’t take my watch under warranty because it was exposed to super glue which is a dangerous chemical (as are sunscreens and mosquito repellants – both product voiding the warranty – am I told by the email), even though I only glued it after it broke…
I’ll see how long the glued strap holds, and then I will have to find another watch… that’s a pity cause the watch itself is still functional but will end up unwearable… -
@martin pm me your case I’d. I’ll be back to work on Tuesday and try to see what happened.
-
Sooo, it happens that Suunto took my watch under warranty and exchanged it, for a S5 as the trainers are no longer made. For now my needs for a data export from SA are gone…
