Suunto 9 Peak wont download activity without restart
-
3rd day in a row where my peak wont automatically download activity I have had to restart watch (12 sec reset) this time it wont even connect after that!.
I have a really important track I need to download and dont want to loose.
I have tried Forget but now Bluetooth wont connect or be seen by both Iphones.
any suggestions?I am fast loosing trust in this Suunto 9 Peak.

After 3 Resets it has finally connected and started to download my activity.
if I have anymore trouble with it then Its probably going back, I cant go through this procedure every time I want to sync an activity. -
@tonyg I have never had this happen with 2 different Peak watches for at least 9 months.
-
@brad_olwin Unfortunately, I did!! I attempted to see it via the Bluetooth of 3 different iphone’s and none of them could see it (the watch had no app tied to it at that point as I went through the forget procedure (1 forget on the app, 1 on the watch and 1 in Bluetooth settings on the phone) as mentioned above after 3 x 12 second resets its back to normal, also just synced a 5 hr activity thank goodness.

No issue here with iPhone 8. Seamless sync

@andré-faria when the watch had the issue, I tried to see it with:
iPhone 6s
iPhone7
iPhone12Testing after each reset of the watch until after the third time the watch was reset then it finally was seen by all three iPhone’s, I suspect it was the watch at fault not all the tested iPhone’s, and the 3 x resetting got it out of its stuck cycle, whatever it was.
As mentioned its now working but didn’t enjoy the experience of trying to download a pretty important track that I had recorded, but It did download in the end. -
@tonyg I can imagine that this issue did not feel good at all. Hopefully a firmware update is coming soon and irons out this bug!

@tonyg I am not aware of any others having similar issues. If this happens again, it is likely an issue with your watch. I would contact support and receive a fix or replacement. @Patrick-Löffler I do not believe this is a bug as it has not been seen before.
-
@brad_olwin Thank you, I will indeed get in touch with support if it happens again under the same circumstances, i.e. Bluetooth appearing not to be broadcasting.
-
@brad_olwin Good Point. Have not thought about that! Just wanted to give hope. But that’s actually not good help.

I can test with the 1st iphone SE (same hardware as SE) to see if I can replicate your problem. -
@patrick-löffler No it is good help because 99% of the time it is a bug. It could be still but I have not seen anyone else with this issue. Thanks for contributing!

@andré-faria thank you,
I hopefully wont be in a position to replicate again for another 12months, I was doing some extent mapping via a hovercraft; therefore used Sailing as the activity and the activity in question was in excess of 5hrs, be a while before I’m doing that job again in those circumstances, I personally think the software / firmware side got into a tizz; this can happy to a lot of hardware that has firmware installed to control the hardware.
As mentioned I will of course keep an eye on the situation and if I find the Bluetooth not appearing to broadcast again then I may get in touch with Support or just send it back (bought through amazon, so this is often easier than waiting on support.
