Suunto 9 Peak

@surfboomerang if it drops gps then it will take again time to find it
-
@isazi that is understandable, but when you pause activity the watch should stop counting burned calories
-
@uranfl well, you are alive and breathing, why should it stop?
-
@isazi thatâs different logic than in A3P which I am used to. It sounds more reasonable to count burned calories while exercising (moveing) than during 2 hour rest on the summitâŚ
-
@uranfl
Activities calories count includes also basal calories, because are calories actually burned during the exercise.
If you need to recovery it, you need to know youâve burned it -
@sartoric Thank you all for the explanation! You almost convinced me
-
@uranfl during pause all calcs are stopped but the hr is still there. Thatâs all.
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Think recovery time counts up during pause. Is that expected regular behavior?
-
@mountainchris no it doesnt
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos than it is new in sw. I noticed it 2 months ago. I ran two hours. At the end with higher hr so that hr was in the beginning of the pause a little a. I also have a data field for recovery time, which I canât see in pause. The pause at the end was 10 min and after the pause the data field was definitely higher. So it counted up. Usually there is no noticeable count if hr in pause is low, so no recovery is needed. If you do longer workouts with higher hr the pause hr can be high and then count in data field is seen after pause⌠behavior ob S9B. I think correctly there shouldnât be a count in pause.
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos tried it today again. S9B is counting up recovery time during pause. Can be easily reproduced with harder workouts and recovery data field. Just take a pause after workout for 10-15 min and check data field before / after pause.

Btw when can I buy S9P? Always sold out
-
@mountainchris if you leave your email on the website youâll get an email with a link, usually pretty fast.

Hi, I have a question⌠Is resolved stuck while saving activity in suunto 9 peak? I have SSU and this issue is very annoying (feeling option on doesnât help). Because of this, iâm thinking about upgrade to S9P.

I never had it
-
@paata I havenât noticed it. But it was the same for A3P and S9B before: no stuck when saving.

Locking mechanism, button, whatever itâs called on the strap is starting to not hold. Pretty much a daily thing now waking every morning to find it has popped out.
Any tips or tricks on that? Or anyone else having similar issues?
-
@stromdiddily I have the same. When I push hands under the pillow and sleeping it gets popped out.
Bought a new strap. Iâll see how it holds and why. I did inform Suunto.
However I am ok all day. It never gets popped out only during sleep.
This is not the original that comes with moss color. Itâs one that has the strap holes dark.

I had similar issue, the culprit was that I had been stretching the strap part between buckle tongue and the pin too much. Try to leave buckle tongue in the same hole but for pin use previous hole to what you use now. It doesnât affect overall tightness of the strap on your wrist.
