Stainless Steel vs Titanium version
-
So what are the benefits of having the titanium version? Apart from it being lighter that is.
-
@łukasz-szmigiel Lighter but supposedly hypoallergenic and it looks great.
-
@brad_olwin I don’t know. I feel like good ol’ steel is plenty hypoallergenic too, not too mention most of the skin contact is with the OHR sensor bump. But the looks, the looks…
-
@nickk Interesting…
I like the concept. Do you have pictures how they look on the S9P?
To me they all seem very bulky compared to the watch. -
@surfboomerang You want to see how the nylon band would look like? Happy to oblige! I think they are fairly light and well integrated style and function wise, not to mention color.
(For those just browsing, also notice the adaptive brightness! That’s not Photoshop, the screen indeed lights up in a well lit room, looking pretty sharp.)
Also, to prove my point… Here’s your all black version slimmed to astonishing 50g (well, maybe it would be 51-52g… I just noticed part of nylon was off scale). You are welcome!
-
@nickk Thanks!
Very nice. Doesn’t look bulky at all.
Did you order it online? -
@surfboomerang Yep, plenty of sources/styles for 22mm nylon loop bands – Amazon, eBay, Etsy to name a few. This particular one cost me an insane $6.95.
-
@nickk that’s a nice looking watch!
-
@brad_olwin Taking no credit here! Suunto really outdid themselves with this one. Truly incredible design!
I still don’t understand how they managed to cram all that goodness inside 11mm and 50g box and have the battery life they have. It’s like an object from outer space. Defies the laws of sports watches physics.

I don’t know for how much time you have that one, I had similar one from aliexpress for Fenix 6S and after one month usage it broke the plastic part.
Take care to no loose/damage your watch.
Also it extended a lot.
But they are very good in improving confort (at least for me the S9P Ti doesn’t need it) and weight! -
@andré-faria Had it for a month, since I got the watch. So far so good. Don’t really count on it to last long.
Plastic snapping might be indeed a $569 problem Sadly, life is full of them.
