Google Music/Music App keeps launching + Flickering screen
-
I’ve disabled “Autolaunch Media Controls” from General settings yet the music playback control keeps launching. I don’t have a music app running on my phone and I’ve changed the middle button to launch google pay. Why does it keep doing this?
In addition, the background of the music playback controls flickers and I have to wake the screen for it to stop.
Any way to fix this?
Cheers

@marsfarce You can turn off the screen flashing to the music in the display section of the general settings. If you haven’t found another solution for listening to music, there are a few online audio providers that can be searched. Hope this can help you to solve the problem

@marsfarce I would suggest restarting the watch as first thing to try. If that doesn’t work then maybe try a full reset.
This is not something I have encountered on my S7 so can only offer limited help I’m afraid.
Out of curiosity, what music player are you using on your phone? Could that maybe be a part of it? Have you recently installed any third party apps on the watch around the same time this issue started?

@marsfarce
“music playback control keeps launching” - do you mean in the quick settings - that little tool bar music player, or do you mean the full music player that shows across your full screen.Are/have you been playing any media content when it launches -as its actually a media controller, so willl open for all media, though it shouldn’t launch the full screen, but will show up in the toolbar. The toolbar (quick setting one) should disappear around 5-10mins after media app closed (note it needs to be fully closed and not running in the background, so if still there after 10 mins force close the media app on your phone.
I did notice a while back that youtube would keep it open irrespective of whether it was running in the foreground or not, so got to the point that I would put my watch in planemode while using youtube as at one stage couldn’t kill the phone youtube app. It did change after an update,but this can happen as have seen it happen before.
Flickering screen- would agree with @olymay that a restart woudl be a good idea, and if that doesn’t fix it a reset.

@olymay This is also uncertain. Sometimes the audio files can be corrupted and you can search for them on radiofrench to provide the sounds back to the device.

@mina-chaser 100% sure you are not a spammer? Can you say something?

I removed the link just to avoid issues

To resolve the Google Music or Music App launching and screen flickering issue, try restarting your device, updating the apps and operating system, and checking for malware. If the problem persists, perform a factory reset after backing up your data or consult your device’s customer support for further assistance.
