      Hello all,
How is your step count on S9P?
Since I have it I htough it count too much, but I never cared that much.
Today I wake up, gave like 4 steps, step count 70.
Is any way to calibrate this? Are yours like that?
      Thank you

@andré-faria Maybe not the answer you’re looking for, but how do you compare a step counter?
The only solid way is to count all your steps yourself and I highly doubt if there is any step counter close to that number.

What I do know is that during my running the cadence value is spot-on. To me, this implies that the S9P is perfectly capable of counting my steps during activities with predictable movement.
How accurate this measurement is during irregular movement (a.k.a daily life) I don’t know. And because I don’t care about the total number of steps per day, it doesn’t bother me.

I understand your answer, and I am not searching a fully exact step counter. As I said i had like 4 steps, the count was 70.
My doubt is more like: is my watch faulty? does it need some calibration? If it is like that, it kinda hurts to have a top of the range of the line watch that says to you 70 steps when you count 4.
I don’t care that much about steps, but having such difference…

@andré-faria s9 step counter is similar in that regard. Maybe suunto kept the algorithm instead of using the one on s3/s5.
