Suunto 9 Peak

Nobody think is possible to adjust contrast and brightness of the S9B by FW changes ?
Maybe brightness, but that would mean more battery drain. My S9B already lasts no more than 4-5 days with daily tracking and training
Nothing wrong. 4-5 days with daily tracking and training is what Suunto anounced.

My biggest question after thinking about the watch for a couple of days is, why didn’t they produce an updated version of the Baro with OTA updates and PaO2 sensor. I understand that Suunto clearly has a software trajectory which everyone has different expectations of, but with the production of the Peak the Titanium is relatively obsolete.
Just a guess, possibily component supply availability
Not blueish colors? Maybe you got lucky, or me not lucky.
Mine was kinda blueish. I heard that theory that sapphire fenix 6 didn’t had blueish displays but not my case with the 6s -

@surfboomerang I know, this shop… Finishes with inn . It’s not far from my home, some people that I know work there. Sometimes they have very good deals, shipment is another story.
Always good luck with them. Except when I choose gls as shipment enterprise.

Here you go, temptation for those that have not ordered yet and satisfaction for those that have. One of these two watches was in Endurance Mode. Which one? S9baro in Endurance Mode both using OHR.
-
@brad_olwin Assuming S9P was in Endurance mode this indeed looks stunningly good. But let’s not forget that inaccuracy of S9B in this example is partially due to the fact that it logs trackpoints less frequently than it could. Perhaps that changed in the last year but when I was using the watch I found that it logged trackpoints at least 10 meters apart, and often further.
-
@sky-runner S9b was in Endurance mode, S9 Peak was in Performance mode, pretty impressive battery!
-
@brad_olwin it almost looks like there is greater variance with the Baro especially with respect to what I presume the trail is. Using a broken tool to determine accuracy of another tool is not really a great way to determine proficiency.

The BARO is in Endurance mode so it is not broken. The track is excellent considering this is 1 min GPS fix and the Peak is in Performance mode at 1s fix. Nothing is broken. I simply provided a comparison. Is that a problem?
-
@zrumlow I don’t think there was anything broken, but @Brad_Olwin showed, that the S9P uses with 19% of battery the same amount as the 9B in endurance mode, which is interesting and I would not have thought that. Thanks for that @Brad_Olwin

@brad_olwin is this production FW?
-
That’s a 4,2MJ activity for me
-
@suzzlo No, so something might change. Very close to production I would imagine.

4.2Mega Joules job, 30km 1600m asc/dsc.

My SSU is still OK, but my old Ambit 1 has long been used by me and my wife since 2012…
Time to try this . -
@mff73 lucky you are
I wanted to sell my 9 baro to buy the new peak but the second hand prices have really felt down, less than 300€! -
will it have complex interval function!?!?
-
-
@lexterm77 Maybe I should start up my old ambit again…
