What the meaning of Ascent & Descent data?

that is a large ascent
maybe @loryland is simply in a super great shape
but I don’t understand either why he wants the delta of lowest and highest point?!on the other hand… >5’000m ascent on a 60km ride is a lot! plus the graph that’s visible looks suspiciously spikey

@loryland Looking at your photo, your clothing is obscuring the hole for the baro sensor. If either your skin or clothing pushes up against the hole for the sensor on the left side of the watch the baro readings will have spikes as yours do and will be incorrect. This is the most likely explanation.

@loryland referring top your question, which in NY understanding asks for the the highest and lowest points of the activity. In the App I can see these two values - at least with regular biking - on the last ‘card’ / overview … of course my numbers are not as impressive as yours are
In addition you can see the curve - and the Numbers, too, in the App.

@shrek3k - agree - highest and lowest point are available. swipe to next page.

This is WRONG.
This is a Software problem.
Please fix this because it is horrible. When I share this Relive data all my friend laugh about this data captured by a Suunto 7 watch -
@loryland I know this is a small problem but it is very bad brand presentation when these data are shared in forum or social network

This is a Software problem.Or maybe some of the other possible causes many people suggested above here

@sartoric If I`m the only user which have this problem, so my watch is working bad. Maybe the majority of Suunto clients don’t care about this data issue. So Suunto is a good brand and Suunto Software is the best.

@loryland - please check the posts around this. You probably need to clean your baro sensor.
Since the April update I haven’t seen any issues with the starting altitude throwing off data, and since most people who have experienced altitude issues have cleaned their sensors most don’t seem to have issues any more.
Once cleaned if still having issues (also assuming you are wearing wathc so that sensor isn’t blocked), you may want to discuss issue with Suunto, as its possible there is an issue. -
@loryland Did a 20 km ride yesterday with a S7 and no problems with ascend and descend values and I did also wear some clothes arround the baro hole (very light Addidas long sleeve running shirt, though)… So might really be on the watch side…

Well maybe your watch is defective, who knows.
Please contact support so they can help you.I’m closing this discussion as there are several other threads about similar baro issues (and suggestions)
