youtube music in WEAR OS is closer

I think it is a step forward to migrate Youtube Music to Wear OS. We only need the listening controls on our watch :

@cristian-0 I don’t see how this impacts YTM on WearOS…? This is simply a change of the interface within the main YouTube app, not YTM.
These ‘listening controls’ are for when watching a music video in YouTube, so if they appeared on the watch then they would be the same as the music controller we currently have, simply a remote to control what in playing on the phone.
We desperately need a proper YTM app on the watch, same as there was a GPM app, that allows us to download and listen to music offline (although due to the severe hit on battery, and the lack off sound accessibility options in WearOS I likely won’t use it).

@olymay the reality is that all watches take a major hit when using music player. Virtually all of them fit within 7-10 hours of continous playing time (probably a combination of watch being awake and heavy bluetooth usage).
This is the norm.
Surprisingly its the Apple Watch that has one of the best continous music playing times, which is insane considering it has the worst overall battery life. Goes to show you that there must be a way to improve battery life playing music for everyone else. -
@jamie-bg I believe this is down to the Bluetooth connection, so maybe the Apple Watch can better utilise BTLE instead of regular BT like WearOS watches.
Either that or it is further proof that Qualcom processors are in fact a pile of sh*t…

@olymay Think it is also wear os - we are still using bluetooth 4 ( i mean really - come on…).

Valid point! Fingers crossed for some proper update announcements at I/O
