Two way sync SA <-> S7
-
This month I’m just doing a lot of virtual cycling using Zwift. It’s hard (for me) to see this everyday
and in SA
it is 2021. come on suunto!
-
@jorgefd78 so are you asking for backward sync?
From Suunto app to Suunto watches?
-
@bulkan yes
-
@jorgefd78 I’d also like this. I’ve started doing Yoga and I register my yoga sessions in the app after completing them so I can keep tabs on how often I’m doing it (making sure I do 3 a week). I only noticed yesterday that this information is not being synced back to my Suunto 7. I always take my watch off when doing Yoga as it gets in the way otherwise, so no point tracking it driectly on the watch.
-
There was an old request for this, as the Training views ( eg. target counter ) on watch is not in sync in those cases
-
This post is deleted! -
@sartoric yes! I remember this and before I post this message I tried to find but didn’t find it
-
@jorgefd78 currently only way to see this is in google fit - and google fit with latest updates only shows current week.
-
@jamie-bg what a mess

I think this is more complicated than you might imagine, especially for those with more than one watch. I am not sure any company does this, correct me if I am wrong but the data from each watch (you can consider zwift a watch) would need to sync back. Different watches give me different recovery times and different VO2Max so I honestly don’t see an easy way to do this.

@brad_olwin Garmin and Apple do it.
In Garmin is called Physio trueup . In case you have various watches and you can pick which one is your main device as daily tracker but if you workout with another it syncs.
Not only in the app. In the watches too.

If you have two Apple watches it will sync back to both? Did not know that, I thought Garmin might.
-
@brad_olwin nope in two Apple watches. My mistake.
But in Garmin for sure works.

Let me add the link

@bulkan It definitely works - in the dark old days before I discovered Suunto I used to wear a Vivomove as my everyday watch, and an old Fenix for running - on days I wore both they would separately sync to Garmin Connect, which would then combine the steps and the total would sync back to both watches. As I’ve said in a separate thread, as someone who wears both a S7 and an S9B, often on the same day, I would love to see this functionality in the Suunto app and watches.
-
@brad_olwin Coros does this and it works beautifully.
Workout with one watch, sync it to the app, activate another watch as the “primary” with the click of a single button and all updated metrics sync back to the new primary device (steps, daily calories, activities, etc.)
It’s by far the best thing about their app.
I 100% support this. I like using my A3P when I know GPS is going to struggle or logging weight sessions directly into the app, but none of that carries over to the 9.

@stromdiddily there is definitely a feature request for this, we just need some search kung-fu to find it
-
@stromdiddily Did not know that….agree with the OP!
-
I think this is the request: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/4482/bidirectional-syncs

Good catch.
I voted too. I’m really into this. With two watches is really handy,
