New SUUNTO application
-
I don’t like the changes because they are worse than the old ones. I have an old suunto ambit3 sport and I transferred the activities from the clock to the computer movescount suunto.I’m working on a new app on my phone, but I can’t export activity to Strava from this app.In general, I would rather see the app on my computer than on my phone. When buying a new watch, I probably won’t choose Suunto because it has an even worse one now application as it was old. I don’t believe I will be able to transfer the activity to Strava. Please advice if this is possible and how.

@jahtba
What’s your problem here ?
That you cannot sync to Strava from Suunto App ? -
@jahtba this was heavily discussed, the change is made.
For your health I think it is better to understand how the new app works and enjoy it
https://www.suunto.com/en-be/Support/faq-articles/transition/how-do-i-use-the-suunto-services-with-ambit3/You should sync with strava seamlessly with the app.
If you want to see on your computer, just make the app sync to any service like quantified self or runalyze.
You will see you will still be able to enjoy your Ambit 3. -
@jahtba
I think your problem is just lack of habit. The platform has changed, but you can enjoy your a3 for a long time if you want to, you just have to familiarize yourself with the new interface and as Andrè said, as regards the desktop view, you can try https://quantified-self.io/ , a very complete and highly customizable analysis tool.
To give you a first indication: you can connect Suunto App to Strava from settings / connected services / strava. -

Do you have errors ?

@sSettings in:
partner services- movescount Connected
- Great Conected
Only the activity is transferred from the clock to the application immediately to Strava, but not.
Nowhere does it report any error. artoric

@jahtba we are here to help. Have you connected Strava and did a fake activity ?
You can for older ones to download the fit file via the app and upload it to Strava

What service is “Great”?
Just to be sure. Do you select Strava and then “Connect with Strava” ? And do you see Strava as “Connected” in the list?

I have the Suunt Amer Sports Digital app loaded on my phone. This one brought me old activities from Movescount, but it also transferred new activities from my watch.
The only problem is that the activity is not going to be exported anywhere, not even to Strava. It would be easier if this suunto app was for a desktop computer and didn’t bother with the phone. Basically, gpx can’t be exported with this suunto application, I would find myself with gpx on my computer’s disk. To make the problem even bigger I have problems with a language I don’t understand. -

Can’t you export gpx on movescount website ?

@jahtba only new made activities will sync.
What is your preference in language ?
I think our community can help.

Not sure I get it right, but may be the author connected his Suunto App account to Strava after syncing the watch to Suunto App. Then his workouts hasn’t been pushed. All his new workouts will push to Strava, I’d recommend to try it @jahtba - record a new workout with you Ambit and check if it’s pushed to strava.
For your older workouts that haven’t been pushed to Strava the easiest way is to download workouts as FIT files from Suunto App and then upload the files to Strava
