I love the watch so far so don’t think i’m knocking it!!

While using a GPX file on S7 using hike mode: we can see our current/past elevation but we don’t see the amount of elevation left in the hike or how much elevation left per climb throughout the hike.

Please give a tile to show us how much elevation left, the current/past altitude is kind of useless to me.

This is very basic information that should be on the GPX file.
Alltrails has a pretty cool implementation, i can drag my finger along the elevation chart and it shows me the elevation at that part of the trail and when i’m actually on the trail i can pinpoint where i am in elevation using that slider.

PS i’m a new user so hopefully i didn’t miss it but it’s a crucial feature i miss while using alltrails offline on my phone.

@eurohiker On a side note. The watch’s altitude is completely off from the gpx file and strava (or any other app that records elevation) on a phone.
The phone is always very close to the gpx file so I don’t understand why the watch is off even with little to no wind.

This seems to be a theme reading a bunch of comments about it. I shouldn’t need a sensor since my phone can do it just fine based on gps coordinates most likely.

An option to record GPS coordinates based elevation and display the statistics would fix all my issues. Start the hike elevation at 0 would also be a cool option.
Maybe a feature to let my phone record the altitude data instead of the watch?
