S7 roadmap: what are Suunto plans here?

@Brad_Olwin your comment about external heart rate monitor is not correct. The gym i am a member of runs workouts based on the data from a heart rate belt. I would like to connect the belt to my S7. I can’t
You can connect a belt but not with the SuuntoWearOS app, only a 3rd party app. The OHR is good enough I don’t need a belt with the S7!

@Bulkan Clear thanks.

OK I have decided I would quite like several programmable battery modes.
To allow users to set modes to save battery at different times during the day.
These modes may turn off sensors or keep the screen on always on mode.

Fossil has smart battery modes. You can choose 4 battery modes, one of these modes is a custom mode to fit your personal needs.
You can try to install this BatterySaver.apk via sideload to your S7. It should be possible and there is no risk to test it on the watch.

@pilleus I noticed that when I was looking at different watches before trying the S7. OK thanks I will give it a try.
-
With all the settings laid out as they are ( which is fine for me) being able to also change ones that affect battery life in one area would be good
-
Any news for updates??
-
no news = bad news?
come on Suunto!
-
Hold on guys

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos we are willing to celebrate the “BRING YOUR SUUNTO CABLE TO THE OFFICE’S DAY” hahahahahaha

Mine needs one for charging

Not the mine !
-
I bought one extra charger to leave at the office… just for update hahaha

@NickK
The best from my perspective would be GPS routes import and guidance (honestly I thought it is on the watch before buying, so little bit dissapointed), and would be good to have Sleep quality and stress level inbuild. And I would add more spaces for cards, and more cards options.

After some weeks this will be my useful wishlist:
-
possibility to disable watch hr sensor during activity in order to save battery (I.e. if I do bike I put my watch on bike support without using watch hr sensor)
-
Possibility to manage Bluetooth devices (bike cadence, and so on) as on my Ambit 3
-
Completely switch off display if there is no accelerometer activity as on my Ambit 3 (I don’t know if drain more battery AOD or always check activity but will be nice)
-
General battery duration improvement, I only use Bluetooth notifications (no Google fit, no wifi, manual illumination to mid-slow, only AOD enabled) but It cannot last more than two days without gps activity
I hope you agree too and to see many of this points on next sw releases.
Thanks

@drunners definitely agree with point 1. If I’m wearing the S7 on the outside of my jacket there’s no point looking for HR.

Actually, this might not be needed. I only just noticed that the hr sensor seems to disable itself when not in contact with skin. I tried placing other things on top, such as material from my jacket, and the sensor didn’t seem to kick inn.

On 3 - does it do something like this already?
I notice occasionally if I wake in the night no matter how much I move to try and get it to display, I have to press a button to get to see the time, as though the watch has gone into a non-disturbing mode because I’ve been still ?

@nigel-taylor-0 sounds like theater mode or whatever they call it now.
