OHR

@JANTIKAINEN I think neither of them were right at the beginning. So, Iβd call it a draw.

I have 29 HR comparisons in 2020 and probably another 50 in 2019. How many would you like to see, these are all wearing an S5 or S9 on one arm with a belt and S7 on the other arm?

All!
I you are not joking, I can go into QS and screenshot all of the activities. I will put them into a Google folder and share the link here. It will take me a few days to do this.

@Brad_Olwin It. Was. A. Joke!
For me the OHR is pretty good. The best I had with Suunto watches. No joke.

Whew! agreed, the OHR is amazing.

@Brad_Olwin Out of curiosity, is the S7 optical sensor any different from previous models? I also see improvements in OHR reading for running and cycling, especially cycling as I have experienced issues with both S9 and SSWHRB (lower OHR reading) but not with the S7. If the sensor is the same, maybe itβs because of the new chassis design to better seal off ambient lights? I see a double sealing around the sensor area from the dent it made on the skin.

it is completely different. Pixart sensor and LifeQ algorithm for S7, Valencell for S9 and S5
Looking at it it is less beautiful, but it is undoubtedly more precise, I have compared it many times, the last of which last Saturday for a mountain run.
s9 + belt

the initial track was partially compromised by the fact that I forgot to take the S7 off the pause.

@Saketo-Nemo Thank you for that. Also did a brief comparison to the S5 with the smart sensor chest belt, and the result was quite impressive
