Suunto 5 G1 old?

I often see the suunto 5 for a discount price. It’s the G1 (generation 1)
Somebody knows whether Suunto is planning an G2??? -
I have no clue what the idea is behind the Generation thing. I bought a S9 (Gen1) one and a half year ago and until now there still is no Generation 2.
Maybe it is on Suunto’s secret roadmap. Who knows…

G1 is the current generation. Supposedly, this G thingy will help them keeping this naming scheme (that seems to work), so when they want to release a new watch they can just have a new generation of a known name.
