      Hello all -

My Ambit 3 Peak connects just fine to the Suunto app on my Android phone.

I cannot get it to connect to any of my Windows (10) PCs using the Suunto Link app.

I downloaded the Suunto Link app and the very first thing it asks is to plug the watch into USB so it can detect it. It never detects it. I tried restarting both the watch and the PC. I also tried running the Suunto Link app in Administrator Mode.

Also, when I plug the watch into the USB, I would expect it to show up as a drive in My Computer so you can browse its file system similar to a Garmin device. It does not show up in My Computer.

When the watch is plugged into the USB on the computer, it does immediately begin to charge, just no connectivity. Does anyone have any ideas?

      Thank you!

You need Moveslink2 not Suuntolink to connect via cable

        SVTS - 2.40.38
        SSSWHR BARO Amber - 2.8.32
        Samsung A5 2016 - Android 7.0
        Samsung A33 2022 - Android 14 - One UI 6.1
        Suunto App Android 5.2.5 beta
Suunto App IOs 2.45.0 (19123) beta on MBP M1

To add to @sartoric’s key advice … The A3P almost certainly still won’t show up as storage.

@Fenr1r @sartoric Thank you both for explaining this to me. I will get the correct app tonight and give it a try.

@suunto867 If you’re planning to put any routes (or POIs) on that watch via your phone, you should probably have a look at this as well, sadly.

@suunto867: in addition to @sartoric and @Fenr1r answers, be aware that Moveslink2 will upload your activity to Movescount (at this moment) which is a different platform than the Suunto App.
