Downloading tracks

Hi, I’m new to sport watches so bare with me for novice questions.
I’d like to download “legit” tracks for ski touring routes, as a support while on the mountain. How is this best done in the Suunto app
*- ?

What do you mean ? Are you looking for routes to use for your activities ?

@manlan There are two options. 1. Select the ski touring heat map option in Suunto App and draw a route on an existing track. Second, find tracks online, download the GPX and import into SA. I am on iOS but I think Android imports similarly. It then will transfer to the watch when you toggle the download on the maps page.

Also, if you’re wanting to send these routes to a Suunto 7, you can’t, as that capability is inexplicably absent from the device.

@sartoric yes, that’s correct

@Brad_Olwin thanks…I’ve looked into the heat map but find it hard to figure out how it works. Where do the blue heat tracks come from? And the map is not very detailed with height curves and names, so it’s kind of hard to draw a route.
Do you know a good source for online ski touring tracks?
