Create POI from App (at different location to where you are)

Have just got the new Suunto 9. So far so good although hit my first hurdle when trying to create a new POI. I understand one can only do this for where you are (saving current location).
Is there anyway to create a POI and then send to the watch? Does this happen through Movescount only (what a hack… create POI, attach watch to computer, sync Movescount)… surely this is why @suunto-admin made a fancy new app? Come on, easy one this surely.
Any work arounds from anyone then would be great to know.
