Traverse and SportModes
-
The loss of the ability to update the Sport Modes on my Traverse watch is not acceptable. I don’t care about the “social functions” but rathe the more basic functions. This is Material Damage to the system I bought. The whole move to the phone-only app was poorly considered and badly executed. We have the functions we need with the MC platform. I will be issuing an invoice for Material Damage to SUUNTO. I carefully selected this watch - I shall never buy from SUUNTO again.

@shaun
I received yesterday two surveys about MC usage (Web and App). Questions are like “how would you like to use MC Web and app?”
Maybe MC is not dead.
Until further notice, you are not obliged to use SA. And see. -
@Mff73
I think keeping MC would be the best. Making SA Ambit ready would sooner or later pull Ambit users onto other, newer Suunto watches.
If Suunto completely separates the new and the old watches and their app service then users with older watches can’t get a feeling of how SA will work etc and they might jump off to Garmin or someone else… -
I would love it if we could still use MC Web while at the same time enjoy the other goodies from SApp (customised sports modes and routes). I have been reluctant to use those goodies because I don’t want to loose MC Web (and since there is no way to upload to MC Web, then for me there is no point in becoming a user of only SApp).
