Important: is your S9/S5/Spartan AGPS up-to-date when Syncing with the Suunto app?

S9 - AGPS file has been updated by SA without an issue.
… and just to give feedback: the time required for a fix has improved significantly to approx. 5-25 seconds (mostly obviously depending on the place and its reception) with the new firmware and the obviously and at least for me better handling of the AGPS-file.
As I currently (‘only and always’) use GPS+Galileo I didn’t want to stress this, as I cant quite figure out if the combination improves the time for a fix compared to GPS or not … -

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos the issue was here before the last watch / app update too.
I did 12s reset and didn’t work either: it shows n/a, then updates correctly. However consecutive syncing does not update agps. Currently it is 2019-07-12.
One additional thing, strange app behavior:
Whenever I sync watch (with or without new move), this happens:
- moves sync ok (strava notification arrives)
- sync activities (1-3 second)
- sync sleep (1-3 second)
- optimizing gps (green line goes around very slow, reaches 30-60%, then interrupts)
- sync activities (very fast, split second)
- sync sleep (very fast, split second)
- optimizing gps (very fast, split second)
Cheers

Today I noticed that AGPS on SSU (after SA sync) shows
2019-07-19T12:05:01Zso it seam that is 3 days old.
-
Same issue on S5: 2019-07-18T00:00:00Z.

NOT AN S9 here, but for the sake of testing …
This is the first time I see that AGPS is not updated.
I charged the watch via cable on Saturday (21) sync activity on Sunday (22) with both SA and MC but the file is dated 2019-07-19T12:05:01ZI didn’t checked it this w.e. since I never had such issue
EDIT :
Just to double check I’ve connected the cable now. The file has been updated but the date is 2019-07-21
… anyway, newer that the old one but I see that SL shows repeatedly “updating AGPS” screen -
@sartoric hey. We are hunting the sync repeatedly bug. Please create a post and add the system details.

Ré tested right now, and SA is unable to update AGPS. Reset watch, and still N/A after multiple sync (+ force close app, etc)

-
@Mff73 it takes up to 10 minutes did you wait ?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
Nope, I never waited to see AGPS changes, but will try and say.
But GPS optimisation is really Quick.Btw, currently, MC App cannot sync gps neither.
Wtf. -
10 min and still N/A

Will reset all, and begin from fresh and see. -
Un paired watch, uninstalled reinstalled app, pair, sync, wait 10min, and still N/A.
Bad day
for AGPS. -
On my SSU, I have N/A too…
-
Tests ended for today : N/A for all SA attempts, and now MC App did thé trick (and no need to wait for parsing
). -
rectification, update agps 21/07/19 ok on last sync !
-
Hi all. Since you recently had AGPS N/A can you update your vote please to the issue?
I can then escalate this !
Thanks a lot so far to all of you taking the time to post here!
-
@silentvoyager Thanks for raising this issue. There is something fishy here.
I think Suunto should ACK the issue asap

I just checked and my AGPS was from 2019-07-09 even if I sync like every day. I noticed that recently took longer to acquire a GPS signal (with Galileo on). I reset watch, synced with Suunto APP and now it’s N/A. So it’s not ok, right?
