Spartan sport for pool swimming
-
Ok thank you.
I don’t understand: I have do not synchronize watch directly with phone app but I have to do with pc??
-
Mmmmmm I’m starting understand… I think that Suunto is not prepared for swimming so it’s better returning to Garmin watches
-
Hi,
maybe I don’t get the issue, but I think everything’s there… At least when using a Spartan ultra.
If I’m pressing the upper button during the pool swim the watch counts it as break if I’m using the lower button it’s creating a manual lap (without break and continues). In SA
- if pauses are used, the app includes everything within the lap table which is default
- if manual laps are used, a new tab is created where I get exactly my laps when I pressed the lower button as a summary
Is that what you are looking for?
Sure there is room for improvement (detailed info within a manual lap, show length of pauses,…) but I really start getting happy with the app in swimming.
-
That sounds good.
I pressed the lower button so I think that I was wrong.
The question is: if you press the upper one have you got laps details (pace, time, distance, style for every single series) in SA?
Thank you very much

Yes. But you should have that as well. If you press the lower button you create the manual laps which is then shown as separate tab in the laps section.
Can you switch to the “interval” tab instead of “manual” … There should be all info, unfortunately not grouped by your manual ones anymore.
I’ve already created a feature request to get more info on the manual laps sections. -
Now I see only this… And I pressed lower button
I’ll try pushing upper button but pressing that one you can’t read data of just finished series and you can’t have interval time while resting…
-
There are no laps below the summary and the privacy settings?
What i get:
First image is showing the default intervals (I’m not sure if i pressed pause in between those). The second one are the manual laps where i pressed lower button:
Are you on latest beta release? Just to be sure, I’m using Android latest beta… not sure about iOS and other app versions.
-
Eh no… I have Android and version is the last one, just downloaded from Store
I synchronized watch by Bluetooth phone.I have only these fields:
-
Are you using the beta version (4.6.0) or the official release (I think 4.2.x)?
I think laps are there since the last beta update and did not find their way to the official release yet.
-
I have official version 4.2.4
Where did you find beta version please??
-
You need to register for it, shouldn’t take too long to get it:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.stt.android.suunto -
And that should then hopefully be the solution for your request…
-
Wow thank you so much!
Now I have full details thank you very much, great!!!
-
Just a new: watch is able to detect itself when we take a rest between pools, so we have to push NO BUTTONS
-
Basically yes. If you check the moves via movescount.com you see the pauses in between. Unfortunately Suunto app is not showing them explicitly.
So they are somehow recorded but not yet displayed. -
@gest83 they are displayed and shown. Just collapse the interval. No?
-
@gest83 you have to explode each interval and you’ll see every single pool
-
Let’s do it
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos hm… not really. if i collapse the interval, I’ll see the summarized values (e.g. in a 25m pool intervals of 100m).
@Marco74Zena I think the question was if you can see how long the break took in between intervals? That’s something I cannot see (on android) … Movescount.com had a separate line for that.Am I missing something?
-
@gest83 let me check that.
