Syncing optimizing gps

Changed over from Movescount to suunto app yesterday, is it normal that the app is saying syncing optimizing gps? This has been for about 3 hours now.
Abit weary from changing over from MC to SA…hopefully done the right thing
Any help would be appreciated -
Yesterday services were down due to maintenance so probably the app was simply doing nothing.

I have had this issue. After some back and forth with customer service, I was told that it was a connection issue between certain watches and SA and that they were hoping to resolve it in a future release of the App. I had to revert to Movescount for a variety of reasons, but this was a big one, as any time I traveled transatlantically or across the US, upon returning home, my watch could not acquire a GPS signal until I synced it with Movescount to update Sat positioning.

@mountainherder Maintenance yesterday, all should be fine now.

@Brad_Olwin No such luck, this has been a long term problem for me, and the end of maintenance did not resolve anything.
