Important: is your S9/S5/Spartan AGPS up-to-date when Syncing with the Suunto app?

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
just to understand, why waiting 5min before checking ? -
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
My S9 Baro says 2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
Android 9, Suunto App (Beta) v.4.6.0 -
@Mff73 because it takes time to parse (unpack the AGPS and update the chip)

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos SSU SW 2.8.24 AGPS 2019-07-10T16:05:012 GPS 5.7.10-P2.1-SNT.005
Is OK -
@pescacebesforum looks good.

@pescacebesforum and @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
I also done the test, it is OK, but it is SSU also, and the post is for S9/S5 -
Suunto 9 Baro
Suunto App latest Beta 4.6.0
Android 9GPS works fine, no problems
In the picture you’ll see the time 00:00:00Z. Here is the difference to the Spartan Ultra, where there is a time stamp. In S9 Baro never.
The fix on the SSU is after a second, on the S9 after 5 to 10 seconds!

Mine says 2019-07-03T00:00:007 on Suunto 5.
EDIT: soft reset did the trick. Data is now up to date.
-
Mine has good date, but time is 00:00:00
-
Don’t worry about the time. Its when the chip provider , Sony etc timestamps the update. Once per day is enough. Keep the posts and votes coming. This is great.
-
ok for me.
Suunto 9 baro 2019-07-10 -
Mine appears to be way out of date… 2019-06-22

A bit of topic but I don’t think so : Spartan trainer with Suuntolink. Since few weeks (seems since last FW update) A-GPS file not in the watch : out of date or missing. Sync with Suuntolink only sync parameters but now GPS optimization. Needs 12s soft reset so that Suuntolink begin GPS optimization. Same after a few days : GPS optimisation starts only after 12s reset

Android 9, Suunto App (Beta) v.4.6.0@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I did a 12 sec soft reset then re-synced and got an updated AGPS. Got GPS immediately on today’s ride. Last night (before I did reset and with the old AGPS), took about 10 min to get GPS signal. Looks like a soft reset did it for me. We’ll see if that is a permanent solution or if soft reset will be needed in another few weeks. Thanks!
