Route planning on the app (iOS)
-
Hi all.
More of a question really to see if it is only me that is having the issue.
When plotting routes locally the app works quite well and I have been impressed, however when I want to go further a field things become very awkward (terrain view). The screen becomes blank (literally) making route plotting impossible. I am UK based, but I am going to the Alps over the summer and have been trying to get a stock of routes and options built up for the trip. When it comes to plotting any routes it is impossible.
Is this a glitch or is has this always been the case?
It doesn’t bode well for this transition…

The screen should not go blank. I flew to Italy yesterday from the US and planned a route in the US. Simply pinch to zoom out, then zoom back in and select the map type you want + the heat map. Worked for me. There is a possibility that the cache is corrupted, this has happened to me before and will require a delete and reinstall of the app.

@Brad_Olwin hi Brad. Thanks for the reply. That’s essentially what is was doing. It didn’t seem to work well at all when using the terrain option. Will I lose all of my data if I uninstall the app?
Thanks.

@Adam-Reah No, all data are retained in the cloud.
