[Android] Testing "Record with app" in Suunto app (Android)
-
Unfortunately on smartphones it is not possible to choose per system. All that are supported are enabled by default. it’s a shame, how are we going to compare the reliability of systems? You put all cats in one bag… mixing systems with different levels of accuracy sometimes makes you screw up. That’s what I suppose to be found with Navstar + GLONASS. It’s similar to all brands, if you’ve seen Jonathan’s tests: http://fellrnr.com/wiki/GPS_Accuracy. Take a look on Spartan Trainer only with Navstar, and the score that model have! But other crucial component and localization is very important: the antenna.
-
Take a look a zoom of the same route saved with SSS. The first Navstar+GLONASS. The second with just Navstar. Much better second registry.
-
I have completely the opposite.
Glonass for me does miracles.
Greece + NL + France
Overall improvement +40%Also dont forget that Glonass will improve and is improving dramatically in 2018

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos just with new K generation.
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos It’s like i say to you before, latitude is very important variable for results.
-
@luís-pinto yes that is true!
did you read that Glonass have reduced some noise etc? -
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos About this theme i read a lot. But we have to be on account the real results. I believe that Glonass in some latitude is useful. But in anothers mess all thing. I gave one simple example. And in the city same results.
-
@luís-pinto Ok. Correct !
-
occasionally I turn GLONASS on, but didn’t see any big difference, except the battery !!!
-
@Luís-Pinto lets move this to the feedback area?
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos as you wish! Feel free!
