Watch not connecting to wireless network
-
Good morning to all!
So last week, on Saturday, I downloaded, without any issues, an offline map on watch. Yesterday, I decided to delete some maps which I will not need anymore. App kept this job in queue displaying message “Waiting to be deleted…” On watch this message was displayed: “MAP DOWNLOAD PAUSED Failed to connect wireless network” I then tried to download a map, rather than deleting one, but same issue with downloading.
Tried every trick I could find: uninstalling/installing app, restarting mobile device, rebooting my two wireless networks, putting watch on charge next to the routers, hard resetting watch, using the app on tablet… no luck.
I then just happened to remember that on Monday I saw a fleeting message on watch regarding software download. Checked on Suunto site and indeed, on Monday, software version 2.56.28 was rolled out. I presume that this latest update is the culprit.
Is there anyone who has encountered the same problem with this software version? My devices are both OnePlus: Nord 3 and Pad 3.
TIA for any inputs.

@Wenzudeg Yes, there is another thread where they talk about the problems of the latest version in V2 and R2 for downloading maps. Today I tried it on my R2 and I have the same problem, it does not download or delete the maps from the watch. I have tried deleting the network and adding a different one, but the connection error continues.

@Wenzudeg Please check forum before posing: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/15796/watch-not-connecting-to-wifi-for-map-download/12
Seems to be an issue with maybe new firmware…
Please open a ticket at support@suunto.com to make them aware that there are more than just one user having this issue.

@johann.fuehrer sorry for double post but since the other post was talking about a different software version I thought i should open another one. Apologies.

@Wenzudeg no problem, I checked with old FW and have the same issue. There is some news it might be already known by Suunto but is a server issue. Spanish forum was mentioned but I cannot find it…

@johann.fuehrer It also occurred to me that they might be having a server issue; yesterday, my synchronization with Karoo failed for the first time.

I give a thumbs-up to Suunto Support and all the participants for quickly resolving the issue with the maps.
thx
