When you swim in the pool, no meters are counted. Soft reset performed. After that, a bit of something was counted but completely wrong. The Watch is starting to annoy me. 15 Minuten of swimming and the Watch counts 52 m ??

@Sascha-Domres pool swimming or open water swimming? What did you use to track?
For me distance tracking works very well in the pool. And not at all open water, because I do breast stroke…

@2b2bff Since it is a large hotel pool which certainly does not have a standardized length, I took the openwater swimming. In my first 15 minutes 0 m were counted. I then did a soft reset. At my 2. Round the clock then counted 50 m after 15 minutes. I already realize that GPS and water are difficult conditions … but so extremely wrong? I also waited until the GPS was green before I went into the pool.

@Sascha-Domres it makes sense to know the difference between pool and open water swimming:

open water swimming is using GPS information to track the distance. Hence it only can work outdoors with a proper view to the sky and with a swimming style that regularly has the watch above the water level (freestyle) or in a buoy or under the cap etc.

pool swimming is using the movement detecting of the watch to find out if you turn at the end of the pool. The watch is simply counting lanes. You can adjust the pool length to match any pool size in the pool swimming sport mode options.

Please use pool swimming and the custom pool length. The watch can only operate within what is physically possible.

@Egika Thank you, I already understood that… that was a large hotel pool whose length has no standard. I thought the situation was comparable to that in the sea and I hoped that at least somewhat more realistic values would be tracked. But the watch didn’t track anything in the first 15 minutes is just bad. After the soft reset was tracked but unrealistic. That gives no confidence to use the watch in the sea for which the open water function should actually be… but above all you have to perform a soft reset again…

@Sascha-Domres was the hotel pool indoor or outdoor?

The one marked in green was about my actual swimming direction. I waited outside the pool for the GPS reception before I went into the water . It is an outdoorpool…

@2b2bff Crawl swimming and at the edge the Watch was certainly a little longer out of water…
