      Hello everyone,
As some of you may have seen here, I had the intention to create an app to send a gpx by bluetooth to the ambit 3.

Let’s say I got a bit too much enthusiastic about it, and not only that feature is possible on android (linux is flaky), but also, I went to vibe code a “suite” for android/linux for Ambit 1, 2,3, traverse, and kailash family.
USB/USB-OTG and Bluetooth support for the watches that have bluetooth.

      The project is here
And here are some of the features:

      • Sync time with watch: from the current time of the device or another timezone
      • Update orbital data: gps and glonass (for the glonass devices)
      • Device manual: download them in pdf format
      • Activities: download from the watch, view on a map, export them in gpx, fit, to local, cloud or 3rd party services (strava, runalyze, intervals.icu, others to come)
      • Routes: Import/send a gpx route to the watch. export the routes on the watch to gpx format
      • POIs: Import/send a POI to the watch (via a map search, or coordinates), export the POIs on the map to gpx
      • Calendar: visual calendar with days where activities were done
      • Totals: totals of a certain activity
      • Backup: backup routes and POI altogether to a folder. Backup of your watch firmware (these watches firmwares should be matching the hw version)
      • Intervals: a visual workout builder, which later can be used as an app on the watch (I recommend to use suunto link to install them)
      • Sports modes: sports mode editor for the watches
      • Firmware: flasher of firmware to the watch (linux and android tested)
      • Suunto HR Sensor: connection of the sensor, check battery level, firmware version, etc
      • Kailash specific: places visit, countries visited, export activity (categorized by default as walk) (kailash only had ios 7R support)
      • GPS Pod Support : integration of Suunto GPS Pod support (experimental - no device to test)
      • Suunto T6 support: integration of Suunto T6 support (experimental - no device to test)
      • Garmin Etrex specific: download activities (categorized by default as walk), import/export POIs, import/export routes.

Right now, most of features were tested on:
      Ambit 3 Peak
      Traverse
      Kailash
      Lenovo X230 with linux mint
Panasonic FZ-m1 Tablet with android 12 rom

I don’t have Ambit 1, 2, 2r, 2s, 3r 3s and a traverse alpha to test, so some features may work other may not. If someone has these watches and want to help, drop me a pm.

Same for planned workouts, training plans , guided workouts (Manual 3.19/3.39)

Beware: I have ZERO programming skills and knowledge, zero github knowledge, it was fueled in stubbornness, coffee and good will to bring some features for these watches for some operative systems.

Also to be clear, never my intention to replace Suunto link or suunto app (which I trully enjoy).
Some features like firmware flashing, should be in my opinion only be done in linux or android in last case scenario (Even if I tested them).

Hope to get some feedback, and if not allowed, just delete it and drop me a pm.

Wanna thank everyone in this forum but specially

      @pavel.samokha

      More Screenshots on GitHub
APK and Instalable to be realeased this week (just ironing some stuff)

Tried it with the Ambit 3 Vertical. Took a few attempts to sync Time and GPS, but it worked. I can also read sport modes and POIs - very nice!
Not sure if the Suunto App in the background makes problems…

USB Otg or bluetooth? Since I don’t have any ambit 3 vertical, there is a slight chance there are stuff that may be slighly different than the ambit 3 and so not working till I get som descr files or pcap dumps.
For example the Traverse was different.

              Thanks for the feedback.

@André-Faria it was Bluetooth, I have no USB-c to A converter so far.
