      @Elipsus, hi, considering the same old advice you could get from posting such an issue, in the meantime, I would simply downgrade to the latest stable firmware.

      With the latest firmware, the back light feature on my watch somehow broke, and I’m not alone. Did we post about it? Yes, we did. Did we get an acknowledgement? No, we didn’t.

      So, I downgraded the watch and saved a month, for now, of frustration.

        sunnto 9 peak pro: since the last update the heart rate measurement stops. I did a soft reset, it doesn’t help. It doesn’t measure even when exercising. thanks Suunto.
        This whole brand is a bunch of bugs. A joke in 2026. constantly recurring bugs. but, add a few more non-working functions. I will not restore the watch to the previous update.

          @Elipsus Does the watch crash (and restart) or does it turn off (and stay off)?
          How is the battery status?

          I don’t think this is firmware related - other watches don’t behave like this. More likely something is broken…

            I have the same problem on my s9pp…
            sometimes heart rate measurement stops. soft reset solve this issue but during the exercice the watch stops totaly (no screen…). A new hard reset is needed.
            for information, battery was around 50%

              @Egika It just stops.
              I did try to fully charge It (100% and stayed 1 hour more on the charger)
              I don’t really know about battery health, it last around 1 week with 5 hours of training

                @Elipsus so it’s freezing…?
                I would send it in for repair if this is not solved with a soft or hard reset.

                  @Egika It shut down, and i have to boot It up.
                  I’m skeptic about spending It for repairs, how are they going to be able to reproduce the crash ?

                    @Elipsus cannot speak for the service department, but if it just shut down from out of nowhere and the sensor stopped working that should be repairable.

                        @Wilson75 hey,
                        Sorry for not circling back on this, its fixed it seems
                        I think the cause was an incorrect battery calibration.
                        My “issue” since a long time was that my watch would never reach 100%, always stopped charging at 90-ish%, this is because I almost only use a modern multiport charger thats supposedly smart…yet incredibly dumb, because the current draw from the watch passed 90% is so weak the charger refuses to continue supplying it current…and it may have wrecked the battery calibration over time.
                        I fixed it by using a dumb brick, which finally allowed me to reach 100% and my problems went away !

                        I’m still debating sending it for a battery replacement since it last so much less than before, I noticed it when going on a 10day bike trip, I forgot my charger so i put it in “endurance mode” with nothing else (and turning off the watch in the night) , yet I barely managed 25 hours of training instead of the 70h advertised.
