Software Update 2.56.18 mobile Notifications issue

After the recent software update (latest versions of both the mobile app and the watch), when I put the watch into Sport mode (Walking, Cycling, etc.), it starts receiving notifications - even though I disabled push notifications in the mobile app and disabled notifications on the watch itself. This did not happen on previous software versions.
