      @Pierre-Matelski

      Même chose pour moi. Il y a 6 mois, ma batterie tenait plus de 2 semaines avec environ 5-6h d’activité gps. J’avais déjà optimisé pas mal de truc pour qu’elle tienne le plus possible (pas de FC H24, pas de raise to wake, pas de suivi de sommeil).

      Désormais je suis à moins de 2 semaines et je passe de 30 à 10% en 2 jours. Ça reste convenable car j’ai tout optimisé, mais si j’utilisais toutes les fonctionnalités, je serais à moins d’une semaine.

      Je me demande aussi si ça ne vient pas de la grosse MAJ qu’il y a eu après la sortie de la Race 2.

        @Geoffwilli I can also confirm I have this issue. Charged my watch fully on Saturday, went for a long bike ride (3.5 hours). Battery was at 50% after (which was unusually low). I’ve woken up this morning and the battery is at 20%

          @Steven-Limmer Charge until full and then do a Soft Reset. For me this solves this. Needs to be done after each charging … I hope it’s fixed in the next FW update

            Same here. Since installing v. 2.53.42, I have a much shorter battery life than before, especially when the battery SoC is below 40%. You can then watch the battery deplete at about 1% per hour. Even with only sporadic usage in activities, I’m down to 4 days max. until I need to recharge. Before v. 2.53.42, I got more than a week of battery life easily. Looks like a bug in the firmware to me.

              @johann.fuehrer I’ve done this twice. It seems to slow the drain down, but it’s still bad. I’m getting about 2 days max

                @Steven-Limmer That’s strange … 😞 can you check in connections if Wireless Network is turned of, this is a huge battery burner. Do you have “Always On Display” enabled. I have also lowest brightness level (which is still to bright for me, even on daylight).

                  Did you report the problem at suunto support? Without knowing Suunto isn’t fixing anything in some future firmware (that is, if there will be a new firmware for the race).

                  I reposted a nightly battery drain once for my race s. Most of the time, with my ussage, I get 3 to 5 days max out of oled watches. (Oled is a lousy technique for hardcore sportwatches. My last mips watch lasted initially 2 weeks with about the same usage).
                  Have to say, I didn’t do any follow up on the battery issue. I have a bigger issue with Bluetooth that I want Suunto to fix. If there will be a new firmware update for my race s, that is.

                    @elbee I did right now, but as I have seen that this topic is around for some years on different watches and also on the V2 I assumed this was already reported.(never assume someone did it, just do it by yourself - I forgot about this all overall known wisdom). So let’s see…

                      @johann.fuehrer just checked, wireless was on - I had it turned on to download maps a few weeks back and forgot to turn it off. I’ll see how this goes

                        As far as I know and understand correctly, wifi isn’t always on when that option is enabled. It is only turned on for firmware updates and map downloads. It’s not even used to sync workouts (garmins do use wifi for workout syncs. Quite convenient because you don’t have to have the app running in the background)

                        So I doubt that disabling that option will make an impact. But it’s good to check, there might be a bug that causes wifi to be turned on u necessarily without the user noticing.

                          From what I observed, the firmware is downloaded over Bluetooth.
                          WiFi is used for map downloads and also overnight for GNSS file downloads.
                          So having “Wireless network” disabled, will prevent WiFi wake up at night looking for network. Although I don’t know the scheduling.

                            I can only tell what I observe. The gnss data is synced right when your watch is connected to the suunto app on the phone. At least, at some point the sync process is saying it is syncing gps data.
