I’m having an issue with the percentage climb angles. Some times they are accurate and make sense with the intensity of the climb. On a previous climb which is 25% for most of the way , I got a constant 14%.
I used the same gps file I use all the time on this route.

I would appreciate it if someone could explain how it is calculated, is it a step by step reading which changes as the terrain angle changes or does it stay constant for a certain distance such as 10m, a 100m etc. Or maybe it is some kinds of average?
Is there a difference between getting the percentage based on gps file or just getting the info from current terrain.

I’ve searched for info on the subject but haven’t found anything convincing.

Been with a Suunto on my wrist since Ambit2
      Currently with:
      🔺Vertical 2 90th anniversary edition🔺
      🔺Race 2 Titanium🔺

@peegee If you loaded a route, the % displayed on guidance screen is the average slope on remaining distance of the climb.
If you are using climb app, the % is the “current” slope (based on last seconds or X meters - don’t the calulation method used - maybe already mentionned on the forum).
