How do you change the data in that field?

It isn’t very intuitive. You have to tap it with touch.

And to make it even less intuitive, when a new custom sport mode is created, touch is disabled by default. “Map only” touch mode would be far more appropriate default.

I find it time and time again that field testing isn’t adequate and doesn’t find some pretty obvious issues. Or perhaps field testing finds the issues but then the dev team ignores them and releases anyway.

Hmm. I tried tapping, touch was active… and it didn’t do anything. So, I wasn’t too stupid for it, but I was - or something.

There’s a reason - well, actually, there are reasons, plural - I’m not among the fieldtesters anymore…

@sky-runner to be honest … i removed them all because I was unable to find how to change the 6 ones I set at beginning 🙂

And how many data field have you configured for the map screen?

@Squirrel Hello Squirrel the question was not to me, but just to tell you, If I’m correct we can put up to 6, I tried with 6, because I was thinking it could be interresting to have a single screen with te compass and some informations that show me valuable details just staying here…
but jonestly I was unable easily to catch how to move from the first choice to the next ones … I try tapping on the screen many times nothing happened … so finally I prefered to remove even all so that I see the compass fully.
BTW also as soon as you put even a first field you never see anymore the full compass … which made me sad … it is nice when fully displayed

So … may be you should have a special option in your setting = FONTS : normal, medium, big. Normal being all yoru current setting and big is really bigger for peple who are visually impaired … you will see when you will arrive to my age 57 you will understand

I really hope they can implement some accessibility options for complications, and system messages where the bright white light bleeds into the tiny fonts to make it borderline illegible.

The menu system is perfect though, clear large fonts and good colour selections that are so easy to read!

when you display the percentage of battery in a sport field, do not display the .0 but instead the %. 2 reasons for that : 43.0 or 43 means the same, so the .0 does not bring any added value, instead showing the % immediatelly remembers you that you are looking to a percentage so the percentage of … battery. it is a nanometer improvement but still one

Digits after the decimal point have a meaning. 43 and 43.0 are not the same or better should not be the same:

                https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Significant_figures

Perhaps in this case it means nothing if all the numbers are always ending by “.0” but if it is not the case 43.0 and 43 do/should not mean the same.
I don’t have a recent SUUNTO and, in my old SUUNTO 5, the battery percentage is not available as a field. So I can’t check.

@LGoSo I also raised it a while ago in some other thread. This value always changes by 1.0, so the ending is always .0 which doesn’t bring any value and only decreases readibility.

                    @LGoSo hummm
What is the difference between 43 and 43.0 ?
Sorry but for me it is strictly the same
A zero after a decimal point is like nothing
It’s the same as a zero in first position before a figure …
Here its a little bit differwnt … sometimds we use this trick and we put it only when we use non proportional font to show that figures can go to one more digit

But honestly their is an added value of the % after 43 but not clear which information the .0 gives you… moreover 43.x % of 🔋 or 43 % Noone will see The difference

@kriskus yeap moreover in reverse using this space for showing the % give a value … if you forgot what you put here the percentage sign will immediately guide you …

Not it this case. Battery meter resolution is 1%, with zero decimal places. So displaying this value with one, two, or whatever decimal places is complete waste of space and visual clutter.
