Since firmware 2.53.42, ZoneSense on my Vertical 2 is incorrectly classifying easy aerobic efforts as Anaerobic or VO₂ Max — both in real-time on the watch AND in the app post-sync.

Watch: Suunto Vertical 2, FW 2.53.42

HR sensor: Polar H10 chest strap

Easy run today: avg 122 bpm, well below my aerobic threshold S1 = 130 bpm

Real-time ZoneSense gauge on watch: frequently Yellow (Anaerobic)

App result after sync: VO₂ Max 10–12% / Anaerobic 53–69% / Aerobic 19–37%

Same sessions on previous app version: ~2–3 min Anaerobic / ~30–31 min Aerobic ✅

The real-time bug on the watch confirms this is a firmware-side regression, not purely an app issue. Note that 2.53.42 is the first firmware to include ZoneSense as a native function on Vertical 2 — this may have introduced a regression in the DDFA computation.
