I am thinking of making an app to pass time between sets at gym
. I have a vision of a minigame that you can play between sets and it would pause the game automatically when its time to lift again. I have started to think about some games that could work i am just not sure when I have time to make it. Iām think games like Snake, Flappy Bird and Crossy Road could be implemented with the watch. If you have other games in mind that could be played with just two inputs, let me know! -

@peringmar HR Broadcast would be amazing, but I feel like its probably a hardware limitation
newer watches donāt have a hardware limitation for this function

Few ideas around HeartRate:
-
Apnea trainng (co2/o2 tables) : Log HR while practice. see how strong your Diving reflex is (When stressed, it should be weak) try to figure contranctions via HR etc. (Note - when HRV will be available it will boost accuracy) compare to history for trend.
-
Box breathing relaxation : study how Box breathin influences your HR, adjust to your best setup via the HR results⦠(lowest HR ==> better strees, parasympathetic nervous system more active etc.) Result may be a visual guage that moves somewhere between āFight or flightā to ārest and digestā

@suuntopartnerteam Thank you for response

How about a HRV app to record HRV readings from the watch, and have more data to sync to Suunto App for recovery analysis?

@Egika
say waaat? I believe I do have a couple of newer models

I am thinking about building a SuuntoPlus app for MTB that shows some trail-specific metrics during a ride, for example:
climb / descent detection
vertical speed and gradient
downhill segments (duration, vertical drop, max speed)
maybe a simple trail score
An experimental idea would also be detecting jumps / airtime.
For that I would need access to motion data.
Does the SuuntoPlus Sports App API provide access to accelerometer (or gyro) data, or only to the standard workout metrics like speed, altitude, ascent/descent, etc.?Here a first prototype in the simulator. For jumps I first need to move it over to watch, as I donāt get the data from the fit file. Trailscore is too fallback for fit file.

@Maurice-B.-Madoff Yes, i have something working now, though not quite release-ready. Will open a separate post about it.

@Ecki-D. Sehr sehr nett!!

Wouldnāt it be possible to create an app, that would support cycling radars? It could be just a fixed data screen with fields plus a display of approaching cars.

Does not seem impossible, but in some other thread (i believe) i read that itās not so easy for a SA+ app to draw attention (but it can beep i believe).
Iām going to look into Garmin speed and cadence sensor first, but that would get me up to speed with BLE device interaction.

That should make Suunto work natively. Itās sad, that such basic things doesnāt work.
