Track run trace not aligned to lane
-
200m track. Length correctly set up in watch. Shouldn’t be the trace aligned to track lane? Or does it work only on 400m tracks? FW 2.50.26

Has the track run gotten some functionality lately? I heard it was only kind of a placeholder as it has been introduced…
-
@2b2bff Hmmm, just looked at manual and there is no mention of track run activity. Only in manual for Suunto Run model.
But according to this: https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2025/06/suunto-adds-track-running-mode-and-38-new-data-fields.html
It only depends on the track run activity, which Vertical 2 has , also Race got this, so it should have this function

@HonzaS what is „track run“ ?
Do you not have gps?
-
@2b2bff more functionality was added in the 2.43.8 update

Please try again, after that share logs to Suunto https://www.suunto.com/fi-fi/Tuki/faq-articles/suunto-app/how-to-send-diagnostic-logs-on-suunto-app/ and link to your workout

Probably not a popular opinion but… who cares that their gpx trail is perfectly aligned with the track on strava?
I train weekly on a track at my athletics club and we usually do intervals between 200m and 800m. There are enough lines on a track to know the distance. You get a target time for each interval. Really all you need is a stopwatch.
Yeah, strava might say you dis 410m intervals, but I know I did 400m in1:35, so perfectly fine. (I might have run slightly more than 400m if I overtook someone in a bend)
How it looks on strava doesn’t influence the quality of your training/race. Nobody is going to judge you or tell you you did a bad job because the trail isn’t aligned.
But that’s probably just me…

@pavel.samokha Thank You, I’ll try it later.

@elbee You’re right! I don’t need perfect track, also I’m just poor runner.
The reason why I’m trying to figure this out is, that this function was somehow claimed, I tried that and it doesn’t worked as it should. That’s all. If I get answer, that this is only for Run model or 400m track, I’ll be perfectly fine with that. But it seems it isn’t, so maybe I’ll help to improve future fw with sending my logs.
