Huge oscillations in hearth rate during exercise
-
Hello,
I am a new user of the SUUNTO 9 Peak Pro and I noticed very large HR oscillations during calisthenics exercises.
The intensity of the exercise was increased the entire time and I’m sure it’s not possible that I had a low heart rate as the graph shows.
Best regards

@dbutkovic I have a S9PP. I’ve used a second one also. In my experience, although I really love everything else about the watch, it really struggles to maintain accurate heart rate readings when there is much arm movement. The only time I get consistently accurate readings is on a bike trainer or road bike.
To manage this, I now use an optical HR arm band that pairs with the watch and works really well.
Some people likely get better results with the watch than me. You probably already know all the optimization tips: wear it 2 cm above the wrist bone, make sure it is very snug etc. There are other posts talking about how to optimize OHR.
