Different elevation every lap

Not that I’m super annoyed by this, I guess I’ve just stopped caring at this point, but still would be curious to know what’s going on here. Did 10 laps on the same skiing circuit. Literally each lap shows different elevation. Something doesn’t add up here.

Looks like Fusedalti was slowly moving towards the correct elevation for the first few circuits at least, then it’s more similar after.
