Suunto Race - Powermeter pairing problem with power2max Type S
-
Hi everyone, and Merry Christmas!
Because it’s very cold outside, I decided to put my road bike on the hometrainer and train indoors. My bike is equipped with a power2max Type S powermeter, which I normally use without any issues with a Wahoo Elemnt Bolt.
Now I tried to pair the same powermeter with my Suunto Race, but when I search for new sensors in the connectivity menu, the Suunto Race does not detect it at all.
I tried pedaling to wake up the power meter, but still nothing appears (the power meter is detected immediately by my Wahoo Elemnt Bolt, so it doesn’t seem to be a hardware issue).
Has anyone else experienced this issue with the Suunto Race and power2max powermeters? For reference, my old Suunto Ambit2 S used to work perfectly with the same powermeter.
Also, my Garmin HRM Dual works perfectly at the same time with both my Wahoo and the Suunto Race.
Thanks in advance for any feedback!

@Patrick-RS Are you sure that no other device (e.g. your Wahoo Elemnt) is connected to your power meter via Bluetooth before you try to pair your power meter to your Suunto?
This power meter only supports one active Bluetooth connection.

@Mads-Hintz-Madsen Yes that’s it, thanks a lot!
I thought it worked just like my Garmin HRM Dual, which can broadcast its signal to both the Wahoo and the Suunto Race at the same time, but that’s not the case here. I’ll just use the Wahoo for my indoor sessions and then upload the fit file to the Suunto app afterwards.
Thanks again and happy holidays!
