Question about intervall training suggested by My Plan AI Coach

It has rather to do with training theory and not the app I guess.
My plan is suggesting interval runs, 5x400m, which is 2km total (I am quite the beginner), with 90s of “trotting”. However, the target distance for this training, is 3.2km. Am I supposed to run the 1.2km difference before as a warmup? Or split it up before and after the intervals? Because I won’t make that much distance in the 90-seconds breaks.
